On September 23, 2014, it was reported that Brazilian authorities had filed bribery charges against eight Embraer employees, alleging that they had bribed officials in the Dominican Republic to secure a $92 million contract.

On June 9, 2016, Embraer revealed that its CEO Frederico Curado was stepping down from his position.

On July 29, 2016, Embraer reported a loss of $99.4 million for the quarter after setting aside $200 million in connection with an U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation.

On this news, the Company shares fell in value.
