On August 5, 2015, Resource Capital Corp reported a net loss of $0.24 per share during the quarter ended June 30, 2015 caused by a charge of more than $41 million stemming from the impairment of a loan made to a luxury hotel in Puerto Rico. After the release of this news,  NYSE: RSO stock price dropped approximately 12% from its August 4, 2015 closing price of $3.48 to close at $3.05 per share on August 5, 2015.

Resource Capital Corp announced that its annual Total Revenue increased from $144.25 million in 2013 to $144.92 million in 2014 and that its net income rose from $46.45 million in 2013 to $61.20 million in 2014.
