On October 22, 2014, the Company announced disappointing preliminary Q3 results and guided lower full year revenue and earnings.  In a press release, 3D Systems blamed the unfavorable results on capacity constraints for its direct metal printers.  After the release of this report, 3D shares dropped over 15% on high volume.
