Summary: | Thieler Law Corp advises investors with losses exceeding $100,000 of the March 24, 2020 lead plaintiff deadline in a class action lawsuit filed against Opera Limited (NASDAQ: OPRA) (“Opera” or “the Company”). The suit is pending in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and investors, who purchased Opera Limited securities between July 27, 2018 to January 15, 2020, have until March 24, 2020 to move for lead plaintiff. You do not need to move for lead plaintiff to be a member of the Class. If you purchased Opera Limited securities during the Class Period, and have losses over $100,000, you may contact Thieler Law Corp by calling at (619) 377 - 4324 or emailing mail@thielerlaw.com . No class has been certified in this case, and if your losses are less than $100,000 you are still a member of the class. The complaint alleges that during the Class Period defendants made false and misleading statements and/or allegedly failed to disclose that Opera’s sustainable growth and market opportunity for its browser applications was significantly overstated; Defendants’ funded, owned, or otherwise controlled loan services applications and/or businesses relied on predatory lending practices; all the foregoing, once revealed, were reasonably likely to have a material negative impact on Opera’s financial prospects, especially with respect to its lending applications’ continued availability on the Google Play Store; and that as a result, Defendants’ statements about its business, operations, and prospects, were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times. On January 16, 2020, a report published by Hindenburg Research claimed that “Opera’s apps are now in black and white violation of numerous Google [Play Store] rules” on predatory, short-term lending, and misleading apps and that Opera had spent $9.5 million to purchase a business already funded and operated by Opera. Following this news, NASDAQ: OPRA fell $1.69, or over 18%, to close at $7.33 per share on January 16, 2020. If you were negatively impacted by your investment in Opera Limited securities between July 27, 2018 to January 15, 2020 and would like to learn more about this lawsuit and your ability to participate as a lead plaintiff, please contact us for your no-cost evaluation.
