Thieler Law Corp Announces Investigation of Care.com Inc

Thieler Law Corp, member of the Investor Attorney Network, is investigating whether certain officers and directors of Care.com Inc (NYSE: CRCM) violated securities laws in connection with certain financial statements.

The investigation seeks to discover if possible claims on behalf of purchasers of the securities of Care.com Inc (NYSE: CRCM) concerning whether a series of statements by Care.com Inc regarding its business, its prospects and its operations were materially false and misleading at the time they were made.

On March 8, 2019, an article published by the Wall Street Journal described how caregivers in the U.S. “who had police records were listed on Care.com and later were accused of committing crimes while caring for customers’ children or elderly relatives…” Allegedly some of the crimes included theft, child abuse, sexual assault, and murder. In addition, the Wall Street Journal found hundreds of instances in which day-care centers listed on Care.com as “state-licensed” did not appear to be so licensed.

On March 31, 2019, the Wall Street Journal revealed that Care.com Inc scrubbed tens of thousands of unverified day care listings just before the Journal published its March 8 analysis.

Following this news, NYSE: CRCM fell sharply during intraday trading.

Based in Waltham, Massachusetts, and founded in 2006 Care.com Inc operates an online marketplace for finding and managing family care globally.
